Assist Trophy: Midna

Truly a unique and cool character, Midna was confirmed by Miyamoto that she will most likely not return to another Zelda game. This is the only thing that makes her not a worthy enough character for the series.

Stage: Emerald Hill

Probably the second most popular Sonic the Hedgehog stage in the series, Emerald Hill would be a nice alternative to the regular Green Hill Zone. That said, the Green Hill Zone should remain and always remain a stage. The Emerald Hill Zone is the first stage in the first Sonic the Hedgehog sequel. Item: Mushrooms

 We all know the two types mushrooms in Super Mario Bros. However, in the Galaxy series along with the New Super Mario Bros., there were many new types of mushrooms. I think we should see a few of these in the next Smash Bros. The mega mushroom could make you as big as possible for a little while, but is much rarer than other mushrooms. The bee mushroom could give you the ability to fly briefly without any limitations. Lastly, the stone mushroom could make you unable to be knocked back, but in exchange you'd be slightly slower.

Assist Trophy: Daisy

Daisy is in my opinion, several Smash Bros. games from being a playable character. Maybe the 6th or 7th Smash Bros. games in the series she'll make it. She's quite qualified to be an assist trophy, though. Maybe she could be similar to Waluigi by using a sports item like a baseball bat or tennis racket.

The reason she should not be a character is obvious. We really don't need a clone of Princess Peach, plus you can pretty much play as Daisy just for the fact that one of Peach's alternate costumes has been the exact outfit Daisy wears. In short, she should appear, but not as a character.

Perhaps the most famous video game villain, Bowser has played a vital role in gaming. He's scary and tough without being too tough. He'll make another return for sure.

One of the icons of video games, the mascot of Sega, and a household name worldwide, Sonic will probably return, as long as Sega keeps the peace with Sakurai (which is next to perfect right now).

 With tons of merchandise, 2 TV shows, and over 100 game appearances, he's one of the few icons Sega has that's still respectable. In fact, without him, there probably wouldn't have even been the "Console Wars" of the 90s.

 

Obviously, he should return again as the fastest character. I wish they would make him a little bit lighter and faster, to show his true speed without making him too advantaged.

Will anyone ever be able to catch up to Sonic? Probably not, but we can dream.
