Fox McCloud

Fox McCloud
First Appearance: Starfox (SNES  3/1/1993)
The fearless hero and leader of the Star Fox team will of course return without a doubt. Being one of the eight original characters to be a starting character and to appear in each game, he's secured for the rest of the Smash Bros. series.

What most people don't realize is that Star Fox for the Super Nintendo was the first game in 3-D for a home console. Even most arcade games at the time didn't have 3-D. Starfox for the SNES used an "FX chip" which allowed the use of 3-D. Of course, it was very poor 3-D by current standards, but at the time, nothing was more impressive.

Hopefully this time around, Fox will be a unique fighter without any "clones". God knows how ridiculous it was to have 3 different kinds of landmasters. Although at least Sakurai is trying to make the Starfox characters more unique now.

Maybe a good idea would be to have the Great Fox be Fox's final smash. That could leave Falco to the Landmaster and Wolf to the Wolfen.
