Smash is all about giving lesser-known characters a little light to the game world. Muddy Mole is a perfect candidate for an assist trophy. Maybe one day, he will see a remake or even a character appearance. Mole Mania was actually quite a fun game, and Muddy actually has enough attacks where he could even have a moveset, so it's not that ridiculous...
The first blog on the internet dedicated to Smash Bros. 4 for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. I will post everything about all the possible candidates of Smash Bros. characters, items, stages, trophies, and ideas.

Stage: Saffron City
We need this stage back for archive purposes. Saffron City was pretty simple, but was a really enjoyable stage.

Item: Teddy Bear
The teddy bear was an item in Earthbound you could buy. It would follow you around and take certain damage for you from enemies for around 200 health points. I think it would be an awesome addition as an item, because it's a unique concept.

Assist Trophy: Ivan
Ivan should be the final of the three assist trophies to appear in Smash Bros. 4. He could use his Earth PSI or his staff to attack enemies.

Trophy and Sticker: Balloon Fight Enemy
The only enemy in Balloon Fight that you can defeat. It is important enough in my opinion to be both a trophy and a sticker.

Sticker: Marcus McCloud
The son of the greatest mammal in all of Corneria, Marcus has never been seen in action, but should get a little bit of recognition. I'd say a sticker would do the trick.

Bomberman
First Appearance
Bomberman
MSX
1983

One of the most popular video game characters, along with being one of the most requested characters, Bomberman is the greatest bomber ever. He has had 3 cartoon shows after him, dozens and dozens of games starring him, tons of merchandise, and has become an icon in video games.

He could use his ice bombs to freeze opponents, thunder bombs to give electrical damage, and fire bombs to add flame damage.
Maybe he could use mines too as a special move.
His standard option could be using regular bombs. However, they stay in place where they are placed and won't explode until Bomberman detonates them. This could be his recovery move.

Maybe he could put on his vest and drop a whole bunch of bombs for his final smash... |
Overall, Bomberman has enough weapons to build up a moveset, plenty of alternate costumes, and is definitely a top contender for a third party character.

Starfy Enemies
Pearl Sprites seem fairly common throughout the series
Jellysquishes seem to be a perfect wimpy and common enemy, but still essential
Octopults I guess are somewhat similar to Octoroks from Zelda
Taddledogs just flat out look really cool and I want to see them in action |
As I said, I don't know too much about this series, but I looked around and these enemies look like the most ideal enemies to use.

General Advancements and Improvements We Hopefully See
Taunts: I would like to see an extra taunt. One taunt for each direction on the d pad would be a little thing that could make the gameplay a little more enjoyable.
Clones: Perhaps the biggest problem was Brawl was the clones. Ganondorf needs actual moves, Fox doesn't need TWO clones, etc.
Online Play: Just make it faster, that is all.
Downloadable Content: This was a rumor for Brawl, but failed to happen. It would be nice if a few stages and characters could be added. Even just some extra trophies and stickers would be nice. I'm sure whatever they make, Nintendo could charge people and then both the company and players would win.
Classics: The game demos were a nice little add-on to the series, but there is great room for improvement for these. They could make more on my first idea, so listen up Reggie: Put demos on the game, but make them able to purchase right there and to play on the game. The other suggestion I have is make the demos longer. I'm not saying 2 hours, but come on, 30 seconds for Ice Climber? That's barely enough to press start. How about 2 or 3 minutes for games like Super Mario Bros. and Ice Climber, 10 minutes for games like Super Metroid, and 15 minutes for games like Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.
Game Modes: The addition of a game mode that told a story was a great step up from the "adventure mode" in melee. That said, I think we need some enhancements. First of all, how about enemies that actually come from real games instead of those stupid looking things that were called "enemies"? Maybe making more of the unlockable characters harder to get.
Intro: The intro was horrible and a disgrace to the Smash Bros. franchise, mainly because it used footage of the Subspace Emissary. This killed 2 birds with 1 stone to me. First, it spoiled the surprise of unlocking both Ness (my personal favorite) and Marth, along with many secrets of the Subspace Emissary. Second, it wasn't inviting like the first two games in the series were. The intro should show the character's in their element. Otherwise, who (other than extreme hardcore fans) would ever know what game Lucas and the Ice Climbers are from?
