Mario Enemies

I think in the story mode, there should be some changes to the enemies. I primarily mean that enemies need to be enemies that actually appeared in video games before the Smash Bros. series. I'll start off with some of the Mario Bros. series enemies.

Dry Bones would be a great enemy that's gotten some recent popularity in Mario Party

Wigglers could be rarer, but more powerful enemies

A simple enemy that causes flame damage

Obviously, we need Thwomps to...well...thwomp some things

Dragons from Super Mario World would be a great addition

Beezos? YES!!!

How about some bloopers? If there's any stage with large amounts of water, these guys are a necessity

I wonder what these things could do. I think I saw them in a Mario game once

BLARGG!

A perfect choice for dark stages, easy enough concept too

Chuck Chargers are so annoying, but they still deserve an appearance

Do I need to say anything for him?

Dinorhinos. Just the name itself is awesome

Cobrats from Super Mario Bros. 2 would be an interesting addition I think

Flurries would just be flat out fun to smash to pieces

If these things didn't annoy the crap out of you, I don't know what will

Pokeys from Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 2 + 3 were sometimes difficult in later stages make them difficult to defeat in Smash Bros. too please!

Make Lakitu appear as a mini-boss!

With thousands of various enemies from the Mario Bros. series, it shouldn't be too hard for Sakurai to come up with a couple of real enemies, rather than those stupid things with beam swords who looked like mentally insane duck-human hybrids.

The first 13

The premier should have more characters than the original game had, but not too many. I think Mario, Link, Kirby, and Pikachu all need to be in the first 4 showed. Similar to Brawl, they start fighting

Samus should quickly appear of course with her bombs and lasers.

Fox would also appear using his blaster.

Ridley would come from the sky. He starts to attack everyone except Samus.

Starfy comes to the aid of Kirby and shows a fighting stance against Ridley. Ridley taunts and Starfy unleashes a final smash on him.

Geno should start by coming to Mario's aid. Showing off a few of his moves as well.

Little Mac should appear next to Link's help. He'd show a variety of punches on Pikachu.

Lastly, Mewtwo should appear to aid Pikachu. He'd enter by shooting down Little Mac with his shadow balls.

Megaman should be last for the surprise of course. This would really top off the trailer.

The Four Main Characters

Of course, all smash games need the 4 "main" players. I'm obviously talking about Mario, Link, Kirby, and Pikachu. These 4 characters are the most important characters in the company of Nintendo and at least in my opinion, the gaming industry.

Mario
First Appearance: Donkey Kong (Arcade 1981)
Mr. Nintendo. He's the mascot of nintendo, the best selling franchise in video game history, and the star of nearly 300 games. He has all sorts of interesting merchandise, from a movie and two cartoon shows to his own cereal. If someone tells you they don't know who he is, they're obviously lying. I don't think we'll see the day when Super Mario isn't a household name.

Pikachu
First Appearance: Pokemon Red and Blue (Gameboy 1998)
Pikachu is the most popular pokemon (mostly due to the anime), which is the second most popular franchise owned by Nintendo. More recognized than Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, and Scooby Doo, Pikachu is perhaps the symbol of pokemon.

Kirby
First Appearance: Kirby's Dream Land (Gameboy 1992)
I think Kirby's the least important of the main four, but he is still without a doubt immesively important. Kirby is one of the most unique characters in the Smash Bros. series, mainly because of his "B" move, where he swallows his opponents and gains their ability.

Link
First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda (NES 1987)
The Legend of Zelda series is the most stable series in video gaming. Every game sells millions of copies within its first week. Despite Mario being the mascot of Nintendo, Link is usually far more popular with the fans. The Zelda series is popular among both hardcore and casual gamers, which is very rare nowadays.

Well, that's the first issue of Simply Smashing. Next issue will be out soon. Follow me if you're interested and feel free to leave any sort of advice or response.
